We have been learning how partners help each other during reading workshop. They sit... Elbow to elbow, Knee to knee (EEKK). They make a plan. Who goes first? Next? Choral Read? Take turns reading to each other? Share a familiar story? It is up to them.
This week we learned four activities we can do with our 'word card' words in our homework notebook. 3 Times Each Write each word 3 times. Say the letters as you write each one down. "h - a - v - e spells have. h - a - v - e spells have. h - a - v - e spells have." Sentences Write each word in a sentence. Underline the 'word card' word. Step Write Words Write the word. Write the word in step form. Scrabble Words
Write the word. Write the amounts of each letter underneath with plus signs in between each number. Add up the numbers and write the sum. Write the number the word is worth next to the word. |
